Ben Folds is one of the greatest composers in the last 20 years, and this album reflects that. His lyrics are so personal, but because they are about everyday subjects, listeners are moved too. Ben is obviously more comfortable with his solo act on this album. The songs seem more thought out than his previous release. Although, he will never sound like Ben Folds Five by himself. So, no more “Steven’s Last Night in Town,” but this is definitely worth consuming.
