sellers plays 3 roles—british officer, president of US, and former Nazi nuclear scientist. he’s brilliant in all three.

my only complaint about this movie is that it’s not funny. the humor is so dark that it’s just a shadow. every “gag” becomes an ironic commentary on the incompetence of politicians, the military, and psychological testing. that being said, it’s a beautiful movie in every respect.
