WORTH CONSUMING!
For decades after this book’s publication, it was the best book about laying undersea communication cables. Submarine cable laying was pretty haphazard. This inspired several repair jobs, but pulling cables up for repair was not so easy. I typed up the section on grappling hooks used to retrieve cables. There are also chapters on cable-laying ships of the day, materials for cables, and testing cables for faults.
