Initially I wasn’t sure about this as it didn’t seem to click with me, but on my second listen it started to make sense to me. Maybe what was throwing me off was the range of the songs which go from poppy to a bit darker with lots of synthesizers thrown in for a New Wave flavour. The more I listen, the more I like it, but as a collection of single songs each with something interesting instead of a whole album.
