For the real Kerouac
I agree that Dillon did a good job. I think he was involved when Francis Ford Coppola was trying to get a movie version of the book going about ten years ago. No word on what happened there.
If you do want to hear the real deal, check out the Kerouac box set that I believe Rhino puts out. It has three CDs of old stuff with Jack reading haiku and other writing. It’s worth the trouble of finding the stuff, as he’s great at bringing his written word to life.
