NOT WORTH CONSUMING
Dear God, what happened to Patricia Cornwell?
“Her hair is wet and she has thrown on a black silk robe and is naked beneath it, and the satiny fabric caresss her body and rveals the deep hollow between her breasts because of the way she sits sideways on the hearth, bending into herself, her strong arms around her knees, her skin unblemished and smooth for her age. Firelight touches her short, blond hair and extremely handsome face, and fire and sunlight love her hair and her face the same way he does. He loves hr, all of her, but right now he doesn’t know what to say. He doesn’t know how to fix it.

Much Ado...
Patricia Cornwell does seem to be full of herself and full of her characters as well. She has so long inhabited the strange and insular world of Kay Scarpetta that she has come to believe it is the center of the universe. Wherever Scarpetta happens to be just happens to be where the biggest and baddest of the criminals congregate. No one can solve crimes the way the brilliant Scarpetta can. The entire police force of Hollywood, Florida, and several other jurisdictions, as well as numerous and assorted other red-blooded American males all lust after this 50-something acerbic and high-maintenance female. Never mind that they have an entire South Beach full of young, delectable, thong-bikinied, hot young women to ogle; they prefer spending their time daydreaming about some older woman who prides herself on making everybody around her feel like crap, including undoubtedly the men who allegedly fantasize about her. Even the federal government steps aside for Scarpetta or one of her cronies—the FAA redirects air traffic from around a racetrack her niece seems to have set up for her own macho and high-powered brand of amusement.
Gasp! Could Gallileo have been wrong all these years?
