The book was beautiful. The pain and suffering black people had to endure during the slave days was something that no one nowadays can imagine. Beloved represented the past, pain, and regret that black people had. A future was never possible until Beloved was forgotten. Even in some ways, one can adopt the philosophy the book was trying to convey.
