I’ve both seen the movie version of this and read the book. The book talks more about stigma, and the author’s personal story of living with the label of a person hospitalized for psychiatric problems. The movie has a tidy, happily-ever-after kind of feel to the ending. I liked the movie, but the book seems so much more real.
