All last night was filled with as much anticipation as Christmas Eve. Though we have had some severe weather in our area in the last few months, it has mostly been limited to wind and rain. Last night snow was predicted. I kept looking out the windows in as much hope as any child looking for reindeer. I finally went to sleep around 3:00 a.m. and then the tiniest skiff of snow began to fall. It is not even enough to close local schools and much of what fell on the roadways is melted. It is predicted that another inch or two will fall during the commute hour, but it will most likely prove evanescent and disappear by tomorrow morning.
