Hugh Jackman had very expressive facial expressions. Rachel Weiss was graceful. I took note of the different camera angles because I watched this at the Toronto International Film Festival. I liked the upside down view of something on a road, and then how the camera flipped right side up. I liked how the camera captured very close human contact. I could almost feel it. The script was very real and natural too. The image in the poster gave this movie a mood that it returned to…maybe it was the music.
According to the director’s introductions, this movie was filmed in Montreal and the graphics were done in Toronto. He recommends Montreal to other directors, and thought the audience looked like a bunch a film students (I think he was wrong, just regular Torontonians). He said he worked with the music writer for 6 years!? Not sure if I heard correctly.
Coming soon, photos from the film festival.
