I loved this movie!
It made me to think, even hours after watching movie, and this is important for me.
People were ordinary and believable in the film and I loved that.

I’m not a fan of Jennifer Aniston, and this movie in no way changed my mind. It was the opener for Sundance 2006, which led me to believe it might actually be artistic or at least clever, but it was neither. Spoiled Los Angeleans dealing with their various neuroses. Aniston plays the only one of four female friends without money up the yoni. She (sort of) gets the happy ending (money, of course), while the others drift into various stages of despair… as if the audience should care. Mind you, I am one of the few people on the planet who thought “American Beauty” was a two-thumbs-down waste of popcorn. Maybe you’ll like this if you can stand the slow pace and lack of a conventional plot. It’s all about character(s), and I could not, for the life of me, get into any of these.

I can only describe the way I feel about this film after I watched is “empty”. I didn’t “get” it. Seemed pointless. I hope my friends never end up like those people.

I didn’t feel they dealt with class issues at all. These people drove gas guzzling monstrosities of SUVs lived in huge million+ dollar homes and the only time money was even discussed was in regards to the Jennifer Aniston character.
I thought I would empathize most with her character but she was a selfish, self destructive and apparently a gold digger—who just stayed that way the whole film, there was no growth, no introspection.
I like each of the actors, but the film just left me cold. Was this just supposed to be a “slice of life” story? I feel like there were a lot of issues that were alluded to but never discussed (and certainly not resolved.)
Also, the very obvious product placement for two stores and two face care products made me cringe. This movie lost two stars just for that.
I know this is how things are trending in Hollywood movies these days, but I still don’t like it. The shots and mentions were completely gratuitous. Shame on them!

The title pretty much says it all as this film falls squarely in the “we made a movie with ‘characters’” independent film box. You wonder at the end why you spent two hours with these people all of whom are self-centered and not very interesting.
The only good thing: it does show that Jennifer Anniston can do more than be Rachel from Friends. On the other hand, The Good Girl did the same thing only better.

I watched the first 20 – 30 mins of this movie, but had to stop. The characters were boring, the storyline was boring, and all the movie seemed to be about was the characters’ sex lives. And Jennifer Anniston was so unbearably dull.

What should I say ? That yes, woman when they reach certain age, they started too worried about themselves, their children, their lives, their friends ? Moreover, sometimes they were less patient ?
This film try to picture of the quartet of life-long friends who have achieved a level of comfort in their lives, even Jennifer Aniston, who work as a maid by her own choice; and all of them have their own un-settled problem, like sex, aging, affair and charity events.
It suppose to be good, because their problem is people’s everydays live, our own problem, our day- to day un-settled problem.
However, unfortunately, I didn’t see their struggle to solve their problem, or even their partner dealt with their wives problem.
It seems that the director let us to make our own “journey”, our own interpretation, which is at the end make me lost. Like our own routine, having breakfast, nothing special.
However, besides that “lost” thing, I found something interesting, reminds me of my mom when she advice me, “Accept the reality, you are not younger anymore. You’re a grown up woman (not to say “Old”).”.

I typically like independant films which center upon the interaction and dynamics of the characters and their relationships…This movie, wasn’t quite what I expected I guess. In fact, I don’t ever remember seeing a preview that truly portrayed what this movie would be about. I, like many others I think, rented it simply because Jen Anniston was in it.
I thought the movie was a bit weak in areas, and circled around SO much, that it didn’t fully delve into each of the individual characters’ dilemmas enough. It was like a tease…it divulged what they were, and left you thinking alot, to figure it out yourself. Too much was left to the imagination…especially with the gay husband. Jennifer’s character “Olivia” was far too needy, desperate, self destructive, and pathetic. All of the characters were interesting, and complex, but the story itself was weakly and vaguely played out.
I found the ending completely abrupt and felt like too much was left undone, unsaid, unresolved. I was frustrated at the end of this movie. Maybe that’s what the writers wanted? I don’t know…but I wasn’t very impressed overall.

I did enjoy the movie for the most part, but I didn’t really get why Jennifer Anister’s character would be friends with the others. Also it really bothered me that she was all fine in the end because she met a rich guy in the end. One who tried to rip off his maid… ???

I liked Frances McDormand’s performance in this movie but otherwise was underwhelmed. It was boring and I didn’t get how Jennifer Aniston’s character was supposed to be a contemporary of Joan Cusak, McDormand and Catherine Keener.
