WORTH CONSUMING!

What I learned while watching “Deja Vu” 2006:
I never quite “got” the concept of a wormhole, and the movie made a pretty good analogy of a piece of paper folded in half; essentially cutting in half the distance you would have to travel. Otherwise, time moves linearly along the longitudinal course of the paper. Incidentally, the movie also referred to a Einstein-Rosen bridge as being synonymous with a wormhole.

WORTH CONSUMING!

a little bit kooky, but also a little bit good. i didn’t really get the end when he didn’t die during the car bomb but then again some things were a little far-fetched.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I gave Deja Vu a NOT WORTH DOING review because it took three different DVDs from the video store for me to finish watching the film. I believe the extra feature “surveillance camera” messed up the movie, because for the last half of it the movie paused every few seconds. I didn’t need any more suspense by the last few scenes (which took forever to watch due to the excessive pausing). Never again!

WORTH CONSUMING!

...the acting wasn’t great, not even by Denzel Washington. Perhaps due to a poor script, though. The premise and plot were too far-fetched for my taste.

3 3/4 stars — 1 year ago

If another actor were the lead it would get 4 stars but its Denzel. When Denzel’s the lead I have higher expectations for the film. Usually he does an excellent job picking scripts. I is a good story but a confusing one. There were parts that simply made no sense. Still it was good- pretty good, but not great.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I don’t usually go for action-thrillers like this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Denzel was kickass as usual (even if the whole driving in two different times thing was a pretty terrible idea) and it wasn’t too gory for my weak stomach. I thought that the plot (while certainly full of suspense) would be predictable, but then it kept on proving me wrong. I didn’t even mind watching it again the next night (in different company).

WORTH CONSUMING!

We really liked this movie. It’s a very intense action packed federal agent/crime solving movie minus the bad language… can’t beat that. It’s great for all of you sci-fi movie lovers out there but still great for all the sci-fi movie avoiders too. (like I usually am :)

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think I need to watch this movie about 2 more times before I “completely” understand it. Watching this movie sorta hurt my brain a little… but, in the end, it was worth it.

Very good movie (but, then again, what Denzel movie isn’t good?!).

I was surprised. This movie was a little on the sci-fi end of the spectrum. I’m usually not a big fan of those.

But once they bring all the “science” in, it kind of loses its way. Also, “Doug” does some shocking driving… I mean, I know he’s trying to save a ferryload of people, but still, I’m sure that driving in the present while watching the road in the past is not a good idea…
