NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This book was the reason I fell asleep for the first time. And they actually made a movie of it as well! Absolute torture.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I had to read this freshman year of high school. I remember hating it with a passion. My friends and I would sit and just make fun of the thing at lunch. I don’t know, maybe I would have a different opinion of it if I read it now, I might be able to understand something “deeper” in it or something, but I think it’s been tainted for me.

It has been years since I’ve read this book, but recall it as being among my favourites at the time.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I read this in high school. I liked A Farewell to Arms a lot, but this one just wasn’t up my alley. I do appreciate the form and style, but I didn’t get into the characters as much.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I enjoyed most of the books I was required to read for high school, but this book was not one of them. This story is a good example of what happens when authors are paid by the word.

His terse prose is remarkably engaging!

Very interesting. I liked reading about the old man getting up and peeing outside.

Hemingway is truly awesome, this is the second time I read the book and I found the description so elaborate and beautiful that I could even see it in front of me – the colors, the fishes and the old man himself..

(I listened to the audiobook)
