been reading this for a while now.. slow read its been. but then lovely so far. The philosophy of American beauty and the style of Heller.. what more could one ask for.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING
Something happened, but whatever it was, I never found out. One of the few books I’ve even given up on without finishing. It was so long ago I can’t remember exactly why I gave up, but I do vaguely recollect the simmering frustration of nothing happening for page after page, chapter after chapter.
I actually enjoy books where nothing much happens, but those books still have to have engaging characters and interesting events to make them worth reading.
