Many of the references are dated, so even if a story would have been funny in the time it was printed, it’s much less funny now.

I was so disappointed by this. I have been a Jon Stewart fan for as long as I can remember. This book was just disappointing. A collection of brief “essays” that are mostly written from the POV of various historical and cultural characters (i.e. an article written by Martha Stewart for her magazine, or the transcript of an interview with Hitler on Larry King). The sad thing was that not only were these not funny, some were just boring or stupid. I was VERY disappointed here.
