I started playing go against igowin a 9×9 go program – then I started playing a colleague at work. I decided that I needed to understand the game a little more so I got this book.

I found out that Charles Matthews runs the local Go club in Cambridge (UK) – so I went along and joined.

Having played go for about 4 years now I feel that this book made the biggest difference to my go – by introducing me to the concepts I hadn’t even thought of before.

Scince then I’ve read many go books, but this is the one that started me off.
