This wasn’t what I expected . . . more depressing, I guess. I don’t know, I don’t think I believe in the whole you hit 30 and your life is over thing.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I realized midway through that I just didn’t care much about any of the characters.

it was okay — 1 year ago

I love the cast, but it had a ton of T&A in it as far as his slutty friend is concerned. I know in the end everyone wanted her to take him back, but isnt that a bad example for young women? : (

WORTH CONSUMING!

Anyone can say they love someone, but its how you treat the people you love that matters.
That message from the movie made it worth consuming to me.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

SPOILERS Ok, let’s just get it out there in the open, Blythe Danner can do no wrong in my eyes. She’s fab. So how come Gwyneth drives me nuts? Zack Braff on the other hand drives me crazy. No I don’t think he’s funny, cute, quirky, any of that. So surprise surprise if I don’t really sympathize with his character at all. Oh, I have a gorgeous girlfriend, a great job and awesome friends, but I am so broken up inside…I deserve more. My life is already so hard to bear, I think I’ll just create MORE drama by sleeping with some random 20 year old floutist that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever other than the fact that she’s easy and she aggressively pursues me while my girlfriend is about to go into the second trimester of her pregnancy.
What’s really sad about this movie is that it’s a tale as old as time, yet somehow we need to keep repeating it, because everyone seems to think their circumstance is different, and they’re experiencing a pain that no one else could POSSIBLY understand. I don’t really have any complaints about the actual quality of the production. Just don’t expect it to be new information, and you’ll do fine.

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you want to see how cheating affects a relationship, watch this movie. It’s a completely accurate portrayal of what it does to all parties involved, including people who aren’t even in the relationship.

A question I have about this — 1 year ago

Did anyone else notice that when Jenna (Jacinda Barrett) was screaming at Michael (Zach Braff), she totally switched into an Australian accent? She’s from Australia in real life, so it makes sense—but doesn’t make sense within the context of the film, since it’s pretty obvious her parents are American. It stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

I liked the movie, but not as much as I expected. Great soundtrack though.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is apparently a remake of an Italian movie of the same name. I haven’t seen the original, but the this remake with Zach Braff is really well done. It was more depressing than I expected, but it all comes together in the end and isn’t ultimately a depressing film. Zach Braff is just as good as he was in Garden State (why is he in that dumb show Scrubs anyway?). It also has a good soundtrack. If you rent it on DVD, I recommend checking out the DVD extras. Although I fell sleep watching them, they were actually interesting.
