WORTH CONSUMING!
It’s quite an exotic and mysterious read, fantastical and surreal yet I never loved it the way I did Hippolyte’s Island; perhaps it’s because this one is much shorter. In the end I closed it feeling somewhat dissatisfied and left wanting more.
The illustrations here are less narrative and more like an incredibly detailed photo album of everything from newspaper clippings to architectural drawings and photographs.
I’ve tagged it as being “Worth Consuming” but for me it’s a mixed recommendation.
