WORTH CONSUMING!

Hurrah! I found a re-run of the finale :)

Urm… yeah, well. There you go. Wasn’t as awful as I thought it was going to be, although I won’t hold my breath waiting for answers from season 2 ;)

WORTH CONSUMING!

I can’t feel let down by the finale – cos silly cow that I am, I taped over it! Argh!! Anyway, up to that point I rather enjoyed this show. No, it wasn’t perfect, yes bits of it bored me (I never liked the Nikki sections. Or the cop’s home life. Or… hmm) but overall I thought it was a decent enough bit of entertainment.

The character build ups took too long at the start, and went nowhere, but I did think the ‘tension’ was handled okay – just enough to make me curious, without driving me nutty. And I really liked the occasional episode that went off track, like the one that plunged us into one version of the future.

I know season 2’s been getting a bad rap so far, but I’m happy enough to give it a go.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I still can’t believe this show was nominated for best drama at the Emmys. There’s too many characters and too little character development, I didn’t even care about all the deaths in the finale, in fact, they could have killed off everyone and I still wouldn’t have dropped a tear. The plot twists are not surprising at all, answers to the mysteries were given before you realized that you wanted them solved, the dialogs are boring and the acting is mostly poor. It doesn’t even work as an action series, there’s no good battles and the final one was laughably boring and anticlimactic. I mean, if they can’t make the characters interesting why not put some car chases and exploding buildings? If Michal Bay can do it, why can’t they? The reason I watched the entire season is that I was waiting for some improvement but it just got worst and wost. I definitely won’t bother watching season two.

What happened? — 1 year ago

I was loving this show until the season finale. What happened? At the very end, it all seemed to go so wrong. If Claire was the only one who could stop Peter than why was Nathan standing right next to him? And why did Nathan have to fly Peter into the sky? Peter can fly too! And even if Peter couldn’t, why would Nathan fly him into the sky instead of just shooting him? If Peter was shot, only one person would die. If Nathan flew him into the sky, BOTH of them died. Where exactly is the logic in this?

I’ve never been so disappointed by a season finale before. They really managed to screw it up so badly that right now, I’m not even interested in watching the next season.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Cool characters, great plot-twists, lame and anticlimactic season finale.
