A few stereotypical characters on an island are trapped by a bunch of little monsters which later turn into one huge one.

B movies are usually good. This one is horrid. Astonishingly, the smaller a role someone has, the better that person seems to act. A late arriving beatnik steals the show. The two leads are so pathetic, one can just imagine them being the butts of all the jokes on the set, and probably never even knew it. One can only pity these two people, knowing this.

You will laugh at some spots that are really bad. I believe that. But not enough to really care, unless you’re boozed up.

In our long love affair with bad movies, my family has begun marking some of them into certain categories—a favorite one being “Science Does Not Work That Way.”

This movie falls into that category big time. Big, big, big time.
