WORTH CONSUMING!

Read all about the Q-style gadgets that British inventors came up with in World War II to assist their airmen and soldiers in World War II, straight from the horse’s mouth, in this book. Clayton Hutton was the eccentric but ingenious officer in charge of devising these escape aids. He talks about how he got the ideas for them and how he pushed through bureaucracy and wartime shortages to get them into the hands of those who needed them.

The last couple of chapters talking about the hurdles he had to jump to get the book published (and also defending his choice to make this information available) were a bit boring but did not detract from the book as a whole.

Clayton Hutton was really a man to be admired for his pugnacious determination to cut through red tape and overall cleverness. And this book does great service as testimony to those qualities.
