Very sweet jazz record — 3 years ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
NOT. McKay sings with sweet tones, yet if you ever hear this in an elevator, laugh yourself silly. Most of the lyrics are quite odd, yet in a Saul Williams-y way, very harsh, straight-forward in a poetry slam sense of the word, yet at the same time McKay’s obviously toying with the concept of the sterotypical female jazz singer: most morons would probably hum happily to her tunes without listening to the lyrics, but if they would, they’d probably have to give up their career as…president of the USA.
Give it a listen!
