A story about this — 3 years ago
This was a quick read, but mostly because I couldn’t put it down. I love Anita’s character. Even her sidekicks are interesting. That being said, I feel like the back of the book lied to me. “When one of those she has sworn to kill becomes the man she can’t live without” or something to that effect. Except that the book doesn’t follow through. Clearly, I’m meant to buy the next book to actually see her be “unable to live without him” in that God I Love You kind of way. I suppose a more literal take on the sentence could be accurate for what’s in Guilty Pleasures, though. So I guess I’ll get the next book. But I’ve been told that the series deteriorates, so after that perhaps I’ll stop.
