WORTH CONSUMING!

...that said this movie sucked. This movie is really good in my opinion, but everyone is entitled to theirs.
My jaw is still hanging open in shock, though….(shakes head)

Why I recommend this — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Always a guilty pleasure to see Gary Olman acting over the top! The art direction’s not too shabby, either.

Very loosely based on the book — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This movie is rather awful if you are expecting it to relate strongly to the book. It is almost as if they picked what they wanted and discarded what they didn’t and then made some stuff up.
It really is nice if you aren’t comparing it to the book while you are watching.
This is really the pretty version. I liked that but it wouldn’t be for everyone.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I’m sorry, I’ve read the book. This should in no way be called Bram Stoker’s. The only parts I think were handled well (and often forgotten) were Harker’s experience and Van Helsing’s single-mindeness. There was no need to add the “real” Vlad to it, or add in extra entries for Mina’s diary. I remember laughing out loud at the movie. I don’t reccomend it. Go read the book. Heck, go pick up the 1979 version. Or even the 1930 version. Just forget this one.

Overdramatic Dracula — 2 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I know this is a tale of Gothic horror, but everything in this movie (the acting, the special effects, etc.) were too over-the-top for my tastes.
