It’s interesting that never once throughout the film does anyone refer to the blob as the blob. I kept waiting and the characters would search for a name…and then just call it “the monster.”

Also, you could go to the movies in 1958 for 80 cents? Based on that (and some estimating) with inflation it’ll cost roughly 80 dollars to see a movie in 2058!

A B horror movie that is just so hysterical you can’t miss it. Who wants to miss the famous Steve McQueen playing the only intelligent teenager in town? The Blob itself pulses, making it a bit disgusting though incredibly funny as it rapidly slides around the little hamlet where it landed, getting bigger and bigger as it feeds on the innocent but mindless townspeople.

You can’t miss this movie! For those who like the so-terrible-its-funny, this is a must-see.

Not only is this one of those fantastic 50’s B-horror movies, it also features a 28-year-old Steve Mcqueen playing a teenager named- follow me here, it’s kind of a stretch – Steve.
