WORTH CONSUMING!

Smooth interpretations of jazz standards. I’m particularly fond of “Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” but every song on this recording is excellent!

WORTH CONSUMING!

A sweet recording from 1956, this set features Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones on a set of six standards. The musicianship on this recording is phenomenal, from the extended drum solo on “Salt Peanuts” to the sultry muted trumpet on “When I Fall in Love”.
