Robin Williams is in it,surely that is enough of an indication that you can find a better way to spend a couple of hours,browsing dull internet sites or whatever

Although quite interesting, I think the movie missed a point (although I haven’t read the story, so might be reflected there as well). Yes, he was on a quest to become human, but was the more important question no whether or not he was human (which I think the answer is no) but rather was he, or should he, have been recognised as a “person”. What is the more interesting/relevant, “human” versus “person”?

With apologies to Isaac Azimov, this is the sci-fi version of Pinnochio. Based on a short story, it is overly long (2 hours) and drags in places, but great acting by Robin Williams holds it together.
