WORTH CONSUMING!
it’s not psychological realism, that’s for sure. but it is the single best use of the song “i’m walking on sunshine.” Ever.
and it reminds me of henry james. i’ll figure out why later.

Interesting thesis, but — 2 years ago
ultimately not that deep. Pretty, though. And the weirdly disgusting nouveau food items were wonderful. I think one of the things that blew it for me was that Christian Bale’s performance was so intense and riveting, I didn’t believe the part of his character that was supposed to be dorky/mousy/unmemorable. Which kind of destroyed my ability to buy into a lot of his motivation.
