Although I didn’t hate this book, I didn’t like it either. I had heard a lot of good about Christine Feehan, but I thought the story was blah!

Cons:

Stupid, weak heroine
Jerk hero (Who thinks being ordered around is sexy??)
Badly written dialogue

Pros:
Interesting mythos about Carpathians
Okay, I couldn’t think of anymore pros, sorry!

Very disappointing. This is the first book I’ve read by Christine Feehan and while I’m willing to try another just to see if it was one bad apple, I won’t try more than one more. My problem with this book was the characters and sex. The male (vampire) character was way too domineering but worse was the female character who basically just said “OK” to everything. The other problem was there was some kind of sex scene, seemingly, every 30 pages or so – TOO MUCH! Towards the end, I skimmed through the sex scenes because it had become boring. The only reason I give this book 2 stars is the “danger” plot that goes on in between everything else was OK. Overall, not recommended.
