WORTH CONSUMING!

It was good and crazy and all, but I wasn’t as impressed with the fighting and stuff as I thought I would’ve been. I guess everyone talking about it so much, and raising expectations doesn’t help, especially when you work in a DVD store and it’s all anyone talks about.
That was over a year ago, and I’m just now seeing it. I liked it, but it just got a little boring and strung out at the end. I was only half paying attention. But still I’d recommend it if that makes sense, ha.

I didn’t know Muay Thai had katas. Interesting stuff.

WORTH CONSUMING!

First and foremost, I must say that I was impressed by Tony Jaa. It was like the first time I saw Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan or Jet Li in a martial arts movie. I won’t make comparisons between those three or Jaa as they are all great. Most importantly, Jaa does have the impressive ability to make you say wow with his stunts. I liked the theme, that is that people are being corrupted by modern lifein the city and that the old ways are good and pure.
I did think the plot was a little on the light side, many of the better kung fu movies will have a well developed plot, good fighting and distinct characters. A little more character development would have gone a long way here.
Overall, a great movie for fans of martial arts.

This movie struck me with it’s outstanding, parkour-like stunts and it’s unusual treatment of Muay Thai (kickboxing). Definitely worth watching. I’ll be adding this one to my collection.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This movie had stunts like I’d never seen, but there wasn’t much else to interest me.
