WORTH CONSUMING!
This film didn’t seem to get great reviews. I enjoyed watching it though and I intend to see the original shorts too.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING
The original shorts had a offbeat weirdness that the movie is missing. The ambiguously fetishistic entaglement between the two main characters turns into a conventional movie love story; many of the biotechnologically weird minor characters are cut out.
Pretty decent for a special effects driven action movie, but that’s not really the kind of movie I look for.

WORTH CONSUMING!
In a dystopian future a rebel assassin undertakes one final mission but begins to suspect that things are not exactly how they appear.
I didn’t really follow the original animated series. There was just something about the style of animation and the pacing of the plot that didn’t appeal to me. This live action adaptation, however, retains much of the series feel in an action packed special effects extravaganza.
