Pizza is an interesting food. No two pizza places taste the same. Even among chains, there are often differences between restaurants. That’s not even taking in account the different pizza styles, such as New York style Neapolitan thin crust, Sicilian thick crust, or Chicago deep dish pizza.

I have been to many pizzerias in upstate New York, and I’ve enjoyed just about every pizza I’ve tried, but the best place to find New York style pizza I have found is Aniello’s Pizzaria in Corning.

Aniello’s Neopolitan style has everything that a New York style pizza should have. The crust is thin, the slices are large, and it is easily folded. There is plenty of mozzarella cheese, the crust is not bland and has a nice taste to it, and the sauce is neither too tangy nor too sweet, with just the right amount of spices.
