WORTH CONSUMING!
I listened to this book on tape from the public library. It’s a sprawling epic-type work, but full of interesting personalities, historic places, and stories. Attempting to make 2000 years of history in as complex a location as London is a huge undertaking with unavoidable limitations, even in a lengthy novel, but each time period seemed researched and detailed enough to maintain my interest and teach me much I didn’t know.
