I liked this one much more than its predecessor, Quicksilver, and reaffirmated Jack Shaftoe as one of my favorite fiction characters of all times.
Definitely worth consuming!

Wasn’t too impressed with all the sudden revelations at the end, which seemed to come out of nowhere. Still, will probably read the next one.
I enjoyed Quicksilver, and think the style is an interesting change from Neal’s typical hand.
It was just like quicksilver; if you liked that, you’ll like this installment too. I can’t wait for the final volume! It hints about Enoch Root twice (well, really it hints about him once and then jokes about it later). (4/23/04)
