Interesting. I have only seen a couple of other movies directed by Atom Egoyan: Exotica, and Family Viewing. Both of those have this weird sense of a disconnection from reality, it’s a bit difficult to describe; something like a David Lynch film. You get that sense in Where the Truth Lies, too. Good movie, though not on the same level as Exotica.
