OK… I’m an atheist, but I really enjoyed this movie. I do think that it would have been better without the whole “miracle” part (and actually, so does my mother, who is an evangelical Christian!) but I get that it was produced to peddle the religion. It just makes for a less compelling story, in my opinion.
The pace was excellent, the music appropriately dramatic, and the lead was the perfect actor for the part.
An intense and emotionally real movie.

This movie is about famous missionaries who were killed while trying to spread God’s word to the Wauodani tribe and how their wives and children reached out to the tribe even after their husbands/fathers had been killed. I went and saw this with B and mom, and it was really good. I could have cried through the whole thing, but, I refrained. B left with mascara all over her face.
