What a steaming pile of crap

. While I will grant that Dreamcatcher is one of the few Stephen King books I haven’t read—and that, generally speaking, his books don’t often translate to film—this one was definitely worst than most. It was full of recycled storylines, most of which were enjoyable the first time around but don’t make for very good leftovers.

And talk about a convoluted plotline. Half of what was going on didn’t make sense, and I kept expecting that it would all sort itself out in the end. This is a common problem with movies made from King’s books—there’s simply too much story to fit into a few hours of celluloid.

But this one never did sort itself out. I’m not even going to waste my time scratching my head over it, and instead am shaking my head, wondering how to get that 2 1/2 hours of my life back.
