Pasta is the easiest food in the world to make, and so incredibly versatile. You can serve it as a quick lunch, topped only with cheese, olive oil and herbs, maybe adding some chopped meats too, or as part of an elaborate dinner. There is pasta in a shape to suit everyone, and dried pasta can also be used in arts and crafts. The perfect food, in my mind.

I try not to eat white flour anymore, so I’ve been trying out various whole wheat and rice flour pastas. None have been as yummy and satisfying as the real thing. Rice pasta turned out to be really gross even. I have yet to try Trader Joe’s new spelt pasta. Anybody have any recommendations?
