A story about "The Anthropology of Language: An Introduction to Linguistic Anthropology"

Coherent, easy to read and sprinkled with amusing anecdotes.

A story about "Wonderfalls - The Complete Series"

It makes me happy, but also a bit sad because I really like the characters and I sort of want to know what happened to them.

Academic sludge (rated 2 stars)

The Printing Press as an Agent of Change (Volumes 1 and 2 in One)

by Elizabeth L. Eisenstein

Reading this book is like wading through fetid, knee-deep mud, slow going and generally unpleasant. This is such an interesting topic, but this is not the book to read unless you are a serious scholar. Not surprisingly, it was promptly dropped from the curriculum.

A story about "Gingerbread Latte"

Gingerbread Latte

by Starbucks

I normally don’t go in for Starbucks’ frou frou flavored coffees, but I’m obsessed with the Gingerbread Lattes. My brother-in-law works for Starbucks, so I had him procure one of the big bottles of gingerbread syrup for me, so I can have them even when they’re not in season.

There are so few I feel like I need to ration them out. Only five left.

The best TV show that (almost) nobody watched.
