I’ve listened to the songs City Girl and Livingroom, surprisingly they’ve become frequent listening favorites. However, the pop twang to the songs leave me feeling a bit guilty for enjoying them so much. This is one thing I won’t be sharing with my friends, but I wouldn’t discourage strangers to give Tegan and Sara a listen.

When this came on IFC late at night, it was my introduction to Leonard Cohen. I’d read his name in passing and never thought to give any of his work a chance – what a fool I can be! This was a perfect way to learn about not only his work, but his life. I had no idea that so many people had been both touch and inspired by this wonderful man. All the tributes were amazing; I particularly loved the cover of If It Be Your Will performed by Antony Hegarty. I recommend this for anyone who truly loves music or poetry.

Despite all the flaws, this movie is really fantastic. I adore use of The Zombie’s hits on the soundtrack as well. I think everyone should have to see this.

This movie is perfect for those helplessly addicted to addiction. An instant cult classic!

All I’m saying is, Animal Farm has nothing on 1984, okay?

One of the best albums of all time, seriously.

Listening to Feist’s The Reminder is like sinking into your favorite chair or taking a nice long sip of your favorite drink, there is a certain comfort level here that you can rarely find anywhere else. Peaceful and fresh, there is a song for every second of every day. I strongly recommend this to any music lover, it is certainly one of the best albums of the year.
