Great game, great plot and great story. What more can you ask for in a game? How about originality, decent graphics (for its age), and good control? Too good to be true? Its not. You start the game as Alexandra Roivas, granddaughter of Edward Roivas. You wind up searching the house. The reason? Why would someone want to murder a retired psychologist? With a Lovecraft twist, you’re gonna love this game. Oh yes, Sanity effects… Awesome.

You too will come to understand fear, as I have.

I love this game. If you love ghosts this is a game for you. Supposedly based on true stories this game takes place in Japan, in the woods, in a haunted mansion. You only weapon is a camera, which can not ‘kill’ the ghosts as they are dead already. The camera instead banishes the spirits from the area temporarily. The plot is the young girl; Miku, must find her brother who went looking for his teacher who went looking for a good story. Idiots of the world unite. Dark rooms, creepy noises, and random attacks from wandering spirits; who really don’t like you, add up to a really cool atmosphere. There is no safe rooms and the longer you spend in mansion the more random attacks occur. Controls take a little getting used to but by the time you are in any real danger you should have the hang of it. Movie for the game supposedly in the works. This is only game I refuse to play at night or even alone.

I can remember watching this series growing up. Fondly. Most episodes were cookie cutter. Get job, find ghost, run (away or towards ghost), and then catch it. Even at the young age that I was when these shows came out I still can remember a few good episodes. None were on this dvd but it was still nice to take a trip down memory lane.
