A question I have about "Amateurs" — 1 year ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Can anyone explain to me what the point of these stories is? I graduated from college Summa Cum Laude in English literature, and I cannot make heads or tails of them. They seem absurd to the point of meaninglessness. I am not familiar with Barthelme’s work; is it all like this?
