When I was a 9 years old, I caught a frog by the pond which I immediately considered my pet. I wanted to keep it for a day then let it go back by the pond, but my father had a different idea. He decided to cook up the frog without telling me, serving it to me for dinner and telling me it was chicken.

I ate the frog legs and thought the “chicken” was a little bit stringy/greasy. Halfway through my father told me what I was eating then I proceeded to vomit all over the kitchen table, crying and sitting there in a state of disbelief that I ate my pet frog.

The though of anyone consuming frog legs turns my stomach to this day.
