one of my new favorites. I adore every track.
quite lovely. not quite as intimate as some of her past albums, but still very worth the listen.

I wish I wrote this, it was really quite amazing. lesbian life in LA. Lemus has a way of stringing together adjectives to make a sentence so interesting, in a way I’ve never seen before. really lovely.
better than the second book, I think. I really like the Sirius Black character, and I like how everything weaves together – Rowling’s usual style. Sometimes the plot is too resolved, too completed, but I have a feeling she’s building us up to something big. Perhaps if I was reading things more carefully I would notice the small bits that were straggling.
Now, on to book four …
I adore this book. I’ve reread it many times, I’ve flagged favorite passages with my favorite markers – bookdarts – and I’ve been known to even quote it. the characters are genius, the plot is so thoughtful and complicated. I wish I’d written this book.
the second in the series on the Mayfair Witches, this is a little more frustrating than the first … the story of the beautiful couple who falls in love (Michael and Rowan) in the first book was uplifting enough to read all the other dark stuff … but now they’re separated, and the kidnapping and rape described in detail is enough to turn anyone’s stomach. lots of backstory, too, which I’m coming to learn is part of Rice’s brilliance.
hacker is amazing. this is a story, a novel, written in sonnets, chronologizing the birth and arc of a relationship between two women. one of my favorite books of all time.
finished! it was fabulous, my favorite one yet. I love the sirius black character. looking forward to the others …
