A story about "Japanese Etiquette & Ethics In Business" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Its worth reading, but the book is by a westerner who obviously LOVES Japan. And the problem with this is that at certain points, he looks at Japan as if they can do no wrong; any problems are the fault of the stupid Westerner.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I loved this book, I finished it in like 2/3 days. I would definitely read more by the author, and definitely more involving these characters. The lifes the lead and trouble they get themselves into is the kind of stuff you wish you were doing while you’re sitting around. So I guess reading about it is the second best thing.

I’m not huge into theatre or anything like that, but the eccentricities of these characters are so much fun—they’re not your everyday character and therefore are much more interesting to read about—they’re the type of people we were probably friends with, because like in Revenge of the Nerds, theres a lot more of us, than there are of you.

A story about "Grendel" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I really enjoyed this. Its definitely a much more entertaining story than the original Beowulf. The emotion and conflict that Grendel goes through is very interesting.

Definitely a fun, quick read and just cool to read the Beowulf story from a different perspective.

A story about "Crime and Punishment (Signet Classics)" — 1 year ago

I really wasn’t that impressed. The emotions that he goes through are the same as anyone who has done something wrong and has a conscience.

Everytime you felt that something major was about to happen, it doesn’t. Its very anti-climatic.

WORTH CONSUMING!

We watched this in one of my asian studies classes. I loved it. It sort of chronicles a family through food, and the place of food in their culture. Great movie.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I enjoyed this book, but it was nothing life changing or inspiring, really.

The B&N copy is very good in my opinion. It contains a lot of footnotes and endnotes to help you understand the world of Voltaire. Plus its real cheap.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I really enjoyed this movie. This is definitely one of my favorite movies to come out of Asia.

Also, one of the friends is also the main character in Tae Guk Gi.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Its not as good as everyone makes it out to be, but it was still pretty good.

A warning: its gory as hell. Obviously its a war movie, but it still surpasses any other war movie in this department.

A story about "Catch-22" — 2 years ago

It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. It was good. Its definitely entertaining and has moments that will make you laugh out loud. But really, its too slow. Its a good book, but something about it misses the mark a bit.
