A story about "Rabbit, Run" — 1 year ago
eerie is the word.
I'm currently reading 1 book, listening to 0 albums, watching 1 movie, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 0 other things.
panoptican hasn't consumed anything recently.
at first i thought, “this isn’t at swim-two-birds.” and then i thought, “this isn’t that impressive.” then i thought, “haha, that was great.” esme and de daumier-smith and teddy are brilliant.
i don’t know if it was intended, but somhow omar became my favorite character in the show.
originally, this signaled the downfall of indie film and television. having spent the last week watching the wire, i wasn’t quite prepared for the quirky, care-free, absurd joy of this film. so i threw stuff at the screen.
but then i changed my mind. i still like you indie film.
i was sitting there, watching the presitge and it was a good move and all. lots of twists and turns, well acted, magic, naked lady beside me. but the room was dark and the sky was dark and the film was dark and my computer monitor isn’t light. from a distance, i couldn’t quite make out everything on the screen thus i strained my eyes in hopes that i could make out everything on the screen a little better. two hours later a major headache. two hours and one day later, new glasses.
actually though, i already planned to get those glasses. it’s a good thing they came in though.
i am intoxicated with melodious discourse. i spent many a passage reading and re-reading the honey words pronounced and dispersed across these odd pages. and then it ended, approprately. at swim-two-birds is a rare book that manages to uphold my ideals for writing. i feel validated, we feel there will be no guarantees or refunds. a book shall not have just one opening, nor shall it be disallowed from telling several incongrous stories that somehow all fold into one.
i reward it several pints of ice cream. a most enjoyable and worthy read.
