because “the beach” is the best episode ever.
i can’t believe it took me so long to listen to this. i think my subconcious thought i owned it for the past few years. my favorite part was whipping my head around to look at my mp3 player during “fluxy” when i heard ken vasoli. ha.
i can’t believe i never got around to reading this before. i have a douglas adams omnibus that’s been lying around for at least two years, and i only finally got around to starting it now. i read most of it at work, which meant that when i laughed out loud (which i did plenty of times), i got strange looks in my direction, i’m sure.
i think the reason i never ate it until now was price possibly (but i didn’t pay this time :) ) and because i always thought it was fish. i have no idea why i always thought filet mignon was fish.
i love this series! i can’t believe it’s considered children’s literature, due to the vocabulary and content. it’s an excellent gateway into all other fantasy books. reading about quint as a child and what happened with the sky pirates is good insight to how events shape in the books about his son and great-grandson. and i mean, really, SKY PIRATES. what could be cooler?
it’s a classic.
i loved this series. a good way to end their creative take on the legend of peter pan.
i didn’t see blade runner, before i read this, something which i am now grateful for, now knowing the huge differences. this is a good representation of the sci-fi genre.
i enjoyed this book far more than i thought i would. many people told me it wasn’t as good as eragon, and admittedly part of it were irritatingly descriptive. it wasn’t until about a quarter of the way through that i really started to enjoy it. so, even though the first 250 pages could easily be 50 pages, this was overall an entertaining read.
