There are some real gems on this album, particularly the last track “Flightless Bird, American Mouth.” I was going to rate the album “wishy-washy” until I heard this. It’s so beautiful, very 50’s love ballad.

It’s worth consuming if only for the line – “I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I’m all out of bubblegum.”

It would have gotten a Not Worth Consuming from me if David Cross hadn’t been in it. He can save anything. Favorite line – “He showed his willis and doodleberries.”

I’m normally a fan of “weird” movies, but in the case of Visitor Q I didn’t realize “weird” meant 1/3 VERY dark comedy, 1/3 fetish porn, and 1/3 ew. Make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into before you watch this movie.

I felt like this movie had some cute moments, but ultimately, it didn’t go anywhere. It felt very forced and pretentious. Gondry has yet to make a movie to impress me with something other than effects.

I helped my mom qualify for AOL’s game show Gold Rush, and she promised to buy me a Segway if she won the $100,000 prize. Well, she won and now I have a Segway to commute to work on! Best thing ever!

I’m still trying to figure out how I can get back the 94 minutes of my life that I wasted on this movie.

When I was in a Catholic elementary school and my class was preparing for our first communion, we would practice with these!

I don’t think a 15 minute rape is entertainment. I switched the movie off at that point. I know it’s supposed to show the true horror and violence in an event like that, but it is not a scene that should be included in any movie, even if it is to teach a lesson. It is not “powerful,” it is sick and disturbing. I’m not sure why anyone would enjoy this film.

This was the first Sedaris book I read, and I must say I was disappointed. I didn’t find it to be particularly funny or well-written. I expected it to be witty or at least have some endearing moments that I could relate to, but I found it to be boring and could only finish about half of it before I gave up. I don’t understand what the big fuss is all about.
