This girls & booze loser-comedy is raunchy and explicit, yet charming. It is highly quotable and displays an instant-nerd-classic quality.
Too long? Definitely. The Policemen-McLovin storyline was overstretched and spoiled the main characters’ dynamics.
Superbad depicts adolescence in all it’s glory. Foul language – check; alcohol-inflicted barfing – check; spitting bullies – check.
Although I found the flick enjoyable, Superbad failed to make me laugh out laud, most of the time I only chuckled. I’ve expected it to be hysterical it turned out to be only cute, in it’s gross outteenage-guys-talk sort of way.

I discovered my new skill: an ability to joyfully waste time on crap like this. WTF I was thiking – fireworks in credits, huh?
And I swear I used to have a whole merry bunch of ants in my pants, but still did not enjoy this “film’ at all.

The movie is sooo sweet and cute. No darkness, no mystery. Just some lame corporate stuff and a horny heiress.

It’s all about telling old stories in a new way, isn’t it ? Let’s face it, the story-line is so predictable: guilty conscience. The narration is not that revolutionary, especially after Memento experience. Plus I’m fed up with a heart-of-gold whore characters. What adds depth is Bale’s eerie appearance and soulful performance. It’s a moving study of a tormented person who is in deep denial of himself. In addition it’s a visual feast.Visualizations of Trevor’s paranoia,anxiety and delusions are exeptional.

Always good to hear them live, to see them – even better. B. was born to entertain.
