This is a study about the effects of elections on the development of democracy in Africa. It’s really that simple. The argument is thoughtful and thorough, and the implications are positive. However, much of it is taken up with discussing theories and statistical methodologies. I doubt many would pick it up without intending to answer specific questions first.
